Clara — last updated 18 July 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Clara app. By downloading or using Clara, you agree to them.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Clara on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app.
Clara offers auto-renewing subscriptions:
Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The 3-day free trial applies to the weekly subscription and to new subscribers only. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins automatically and your Apple ID is charged. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are also handled by Apple under their terms. We cannot issue refunds directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Clara is a general-purpose magnification tool for everyday reading. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it is not a substitute for prescription glasses, professional low-vision aids or advice from an eye-care professional. Do not rely on Clara where misreading could cause harm — for example when identifying medication.
Use Clara lawfully and respect other people's privacy. Do not use it to photograph or magnify people or private information without permission. Do not use the app while driving or in any situation where it could put you or others at risk.
We may update, change or discontinue features of the app. We try to keep Clara working reliably, but we cannot guarantee it will be available or error-free at all times.
Clara is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without affecting mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
Updated terms will be published on this page with a new date above.
