Run Calibrate: place your phone on a known flat surface (or against a vertical reference) and follow the two-step calibration. Remove thick phone cases — the camera bump and cases can tilt the phone slightly, which is the most common cause of inaccurate readings.
After calibration, level and angle readings are accurate to roughly a tenth of a degree, which is sufficient for hanging pictures, shelves, furniture, and everyday DIY. Distance readings are estimates. PocketLevel is not a replacement for professional instruments in structural or safety-critical work.
